So we are back and settled in from our wonderful visit to GA. We miss everyone but are enjoying time with Daddy again. The girls are growing so fast and changing every day. Kayleigh is picking up new words every day. Lately she has been telling sister to roll, making a cat sound "ow" which she says with such enthusiasm, asking "what's that" (a lot! wonder where she gets the inquisitiveness from?), saying "there it is" when she finds something, and momma every now and then (FINALLY!). She has been a late talker so we get excited about every new word. She loves to "read" to us and lets us know if we aren't paying attention. :) She is still the most wonderful big sister. She loves to take care of Campbell by bringing her toys, her paci, blankets and of course swinging her and kissing her all day. If she hears Campbell crying in another part of the house, she takes off to find her and make her happy. :) I love having them so close in age. Campbell just loves her sister and looks at her and smiles and laughs all day. I hope they are always so close. Kayleigh is also getting to be less picky again and has started eating veggies a little better. She loves anything dairy and fish, but she even chowed down on the carrots and green beans from dinner the other night. She also totally tattle tells on herself. If she is into something she shouldn't be, she says hey and waves to get your attention and then cleans it up as soon as you tell her. If only she will behave so well when she's a teenager! We went to a friend's wedding last weekend and she had a blast. She loves to dance so she took over the dance floor. She is just so much fun.
Campbell is growing like a weed. She is 15 1/2 lbs and so long that she is outgrowing her 6 month clothes in the legs. She has her two bottom teeth all the way in now, but as much as she chews and drools, I wouldn't be surprised if the top two pop in soon. She is still pretty easy, but she is getting a little feisty. :) She is sleeping great (about 10 hours at night) but during the day she has no problem letting you know what she wants or more accurately what she doesn't! She hasn't been a fan of the exersaucer lately, but I think it is because she is working on crawling and likes to be down on the ground and free to move. She is close to crawling, but for now, she gets around by scooting backwards or going in circles. We just started her on solids and so far she does not like the rice cereal. She tolerated the carrots. One minute she would eats them (reluctantly) and the next minute she would gag and try to spit them out. I think she knows we are holding out on her and there is yummy stuff like fruit. :)
There are a few videos I want to post but I need to run for now. Brett has been on surf duty since yesterday morning so we are going to take him dinner and chocolate cupcakes. :) I miss him when he stays at work.
I hope everyone is doing well! Love to all!!
