Woobie World??

So Kayleigh loves Ellie the pink elephant that she sleeps with. I mean she LOVES Ellie. Our friend Cristi bought it for her so I asked her where she got it and she says Target. I think oh perfect. I'll go grab another one "just in case." Well, Target discontinued it! Of course! So I decide to look online for another Ellie. What do I find? Store after store named things such as Woobie World, Land of Lost Toys, Things Treasured and so on. It's ingenius if you ask me. They are charging much more for these things than Target and they know that the parents will pay it. And yes, I will be ordering and paying a ridiculous price for another Ellie because if you've seen K with her Ellie, you would too. :)

So my advice to parents to be...make sure you buy more than one of whatever blanket, stuffed animal or "lovey" you decide to give to your child. Don't put it off because I pretty sure it's one big conspiracy and they discontinue them quite frequently just to make a ridiculous profit when you are desperate and need a replacement. And while you are at it, buy one you can wash. Ellie has a nice music box inside her so when you pull her tail, it plays Brahms Lullaby. Now this definitely came in handy when she was younger and now she's even figured out how to pull it and play it herself (so cute ;) ). HOWEVER, music box inside Ellie is NOT handy or cute when she pukes on Ellie. So there it is...buy multiple ones and pick something washable. Trust me...you will be thankful!
